Determining How Involved You will be in the website design process
Every customer is different when it comes to how involved you want to be when it relates to business matters. Some trust the judgement of the other party to represent their business the best way possible. Others want to take a more hands on approach and have very specific or unique ideas in regard to how those matters are handled. Whatever your preference is Precise Online Management wants to help you reach that goal.
We know that your time is valuable and we also know how important it is to accurately represent your business as well as your vision of how it should be presented. With that being said, after a short interview, we can create the content necessary or if you prefer to provide your own information during the website design process. You will always get our fair and honest advice. The main focus is to generate leads from your visitors and let YOU handle it from there.
Step 2
Overview
- A site that’s fast AND eye-catching
- Formatted properly on all devices
- Smooth experience for every visitor
Building the perfect site for you and your visitors
As soon as we have all of the information necessary to start designing your website, we can start piecing it together. The idea is to strike a balance between pleasing aesthetics and loading speed. You can have the prettiest looking site ever however if it doesn’t load within a few seconds most users will leave and look for an alternative solution to their needs. Presentation does matter but so does accessibility. Craigslist is far from being attractive but its’ function and the fact that it was created ages ago on the internet work for its’ intended purpose.
Unfortunately, we can’t turn back the clock to establish your web presence. We can create a website that is elegant, fast and conforms to the dimensions of the multitude of devices that visitors are using these days. Mobile devices have surged in usage and the people using them expect to find what they are looking for in a clean and properly formatted website. For instance, let’s say your business deals in auto repair. A potential customer breaks down on the road and begins searching for mechanics. They are far more likely to contact a company at that moment from their phone than wait until they are home on their desktop computer. That is why we believe no visitor should be left behind. You need a website that caters to all audiences and at Precise Online Management it is our mission to provide that.
Step 3
Overview
- Preview your site before launch
- Request changes or approve to set live
- We will NEVER launch without your approval
Previewing your website and making changes or tweaks
When the build phase has been completed, you will receive a link to preview the site before launch. At this point, there should be only some minor changes or tweaks. You’ll be able to see the site on your desktop, phone, tablet or other device just as if it was live already. This way you won’t have any surprises or unexpected problems with the design and content of your website.
Unfortunately, there are some web design companies that will launch before you’re ready due to miscommunication or for their own production reasons. We’ve seen first hand the damage this can do to a business’ reputation or even in some cases cause legal woes. We will always wait for your confirmation before setting your website live. This also ensures that no misinformation gets indexed by google or other search engines that may be harmful to your business. You’d be surprised how quickly websites are automatically indexed these days.
Step 4
Overview
- Site goes live but that’s not all!
- Analytics and metrics configuration
- Robust security measures implemented
Launch Day – A New Frontier for your business
Everything looks good and you are ready to go. Time to set the website live. But there is much more involved than just clicking a button. At least here at Precise Online Management. There are tools and programs that need to be configured to maximize the potential of your website.
Google Analytics provides valuable data and statistics regarding visitors to your website. We can determine if they are on a mobile device, where they are located geographically, even what web browser they are using! There is also Google Webmaster Tools which allows us to index pages quickly and determine if there are any SEO related issues.
Aside from Google, security measures need to be taken to minimize the ability for hackers to compromise your website. Things like changing the default administration login page and setting up a firewall. This should be standard practice across the board but sadly it isn’t. A little preventative maintenance goes a long way in combating hackers and spammers.
